Scalping
What it is
Many small trades a day aiming for a few pips each, at the most liquid times.
The rules
SetupA raw-spread account and only the most liquid hours (London, New York).EntryVery short-term momentum or level reactions.StopTight, decided before entry.TargetSmall, often 1–1.5R.
When it fails
Costs: spread and commission can be 20% or more of every target (lesson 4). Slippage and latency hurt more than anywhere else.
Risk profile
Hard to stay profitable after costs; demanding on focus. Some prop firms restrict it.
Who it suits
Experienced traders with low-cost execution and plenty of screen time.
Education, not advice. Goldman Academy teaches how markets and tools work. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell, and no lesson promises profits. Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of losing money; only trade money you can afford to lose.
